PROJECTS

Broadfoot Drive, Goodna

Polymer soil stabilisation and hydromulch revegetation across a residential housing estate, delivered for Eden Estate Developments.

Client

Eden Estate Developments

Location

Goodna, QLD

Services

Polymer stabilisation & hydromulch

Area Treated

7,000 m²

Why the site needed treating

Bulk earthworks at Broadfoot Drive left large areas of exposed subgrade, basin batters and stockpile faces open to wind and rain, directly beside an established residential boundary.

s

Large exposed earthworks

Bulk earthworks left broad areas of stripped subgrade, basin batters and stockpile faces open to wind and rain.

s

Residential interface

Established homes sit directly against the site boundary, so dust and sediment tracking carry a real amenity and complaint risk.

s

Concentrated flows

The detention basin and its batters collect and concentrate overland flow — the areas most likely to rill and shed sediment.

s

Weather window

South East Queensland storm activity can arrive with little notice, so exposed surfaces needed cover ahead of the next rainfall event.

How the works were delivered

Both treatments were delivered off the same mobilisation, keeping set-up cost and site disruption down: 2,000 m² of polymer stabilisation and 5,000 m² of hydromulch revegetation.

U

Assess & program

Walked the site with the supervisor, confirmed treated extents, checked surface preparation, moisture and the forecast, and locked in a dry application window.

U

Polymer application — 2,000 m²

EnviroBond diluted and applied to dry topsoil via truck-mounted pump and hose, worked to a target penetration of 3–5mm into the surface.

U

Hydromulch — 5,000 m²

Seed, fertiliser, fibre and binder blended on the truck and sprayed across basin batters and shaped areas, working top-of-slope down for even cover.

U

Cure, check & report

Surface left to cure and form its matrix, coverage inspected against the treated extents, and dated photographic records issued to the client.

What the treatment delivers

R

Dust under control

A bound surface holds fines in place at the residential boundary, cutting windblown dust and the complaints that follow it.

R

Cleaner discharge

Reduced detachment and slower overland flow mean less sediment reaching the basin and the downstream network.

R

Compliance evidence

Treated extents, product and dates are recorded and photographed, supporting ESCP obligations and council inspection.

R

Cover that lasts

Hydromulch protects immediately and hands over to established grass, so the batters do not need retreating.

7,000 m² treated, one mobilisation.

Application records, treated-area plans and dated site photography are available on request.
